I am going to make this post short and sweet.
First, take a look at this report. This is the total number of interviews I’ve scheduled for candidates over the past 5 years, measured against the total number of placements that have been made:
That’s 1,098 interviews against 52 placements, or about a 4.8% conversion rate.
Imagine being a baseball player and batting with numbers like that. You wouldn’t make it past little league.
That’s the bad news.
Now, the good news: each of those placements is worth, on average, give or take $25,000. That’s $1.3M in GROSS PROFIT over 5 years. For one person.
There are recruiters who have better conversion rates, and higher volume. Good for them.
This is my reality.
